Cannot configure kusto connection

I get this error running the VSCode command from command+shift+p

"Command 'Notebook: Configure Kusto Connection' resulted in an error (Running the contributed command: 'kusto.changeDocumentConnection' failed.)"

Am I missing a depedency?
