Workspaces Plus Plugin Development Status #93

Hey all,

I haven't heard from NIL for some time now and am unsure if/when he will be back. With the latest code fix merged (thank you @aropele for the fix and @phibr0 + @AB1908 for helping me update the general and beta releases) the plugin will continue to function as is.

Because of NIL's absence I'm not sure about the future of the plugin. Hopefully it will continue to function for some time; however, if anyone would be interested in helping maintain the plugin and/or work with me on some enhancements please let me know.

For users of the plugin, please feel free to continue posting issues related to bugs and enhancements. I can continue to iterate on the design of the feature set independently of its development so that it can be updated accordingly if/when the time comes.

Thanks for your effort. Maybe we can ask Eleanor Konik to post a message about the plugin development status on the excellent Obsidian Roundup newsletter. It would be great to find someone who can fork the project and continue the development.

I was looking at the workspace and ability to override files. Needs an update for tabs. If I make a PR will it still be reviewed and accepted? Will be making a fork for personal use and would be happy to push back if reviews on PRs are still happening.

@jsmorabito I made the PR so it works with the tabs as child types.

hi @sytone thank you for the PR. I am not a developer, so I cannot review it and NIL is unavailable at the moment. I'm hesitant to merge something that I cannot understand as I won't be able to tell if it has the potential disrupt the function of the plugin in some way. I do, however, see the necessity for this update, so if you have some time to spare and could direct message me to talk me through the changes I think that would help me feel comfortable accepting the PR.
