i agree. landscape would be a nice option with the analog on one side and the a
and b buttons on the other as
well as the start and select on the bottom.

The question is, does the multi-touch display support that many fingers? You
know on
Windows Mobile devices, you get to tap one place at a time right? iPhone
definitely
supports two but... but... can it support three? Or more?

Here is a mockup of what landscape mode might look like.

I love the mockup for the new sideways layout. Zooming the game to fullscreen
is great. The layout is good,
too. However, I would abandon the NES controller look, remove the gray border
around the A and B buttons and
maybe even make them a little smaller so the right side can be made as thin as
possible and the d-pad can
maybe be made a bit larger. I would also change it to a different color than
black to improve its contrast against
the dark background and let me see it better out of the corner of my eye while
I'm playing. Also, this was
mentioned in another thread, but adding d-pad zones for the diagonals would be
useful, too.

Again, just consolidating from another thread, but if it's necessary to make
the buttons very small to allow the
d-pad to grow, having virtual buttons that detect presses even if the press
overlaps the screen just a bit would
work great.
