I have noticed that the colors of filters are "broken"

I believe this is linked to here https://github.com/notnotmelon/infinite-quality-tiers/blob/fb7b14f26cb3744b817fd5cfec3b31e6c850de13/data.lua#L3C1-L11C2

I have been messing around with the code and it looks the actual cause is in how factorio does icons for recipes on machines and filters. the game seems to only use the first png not stacked like items and tech icons use.
