The following glyphs have received updated to their shaping:
KAITHI LETTER A — ktA (U+11083)
KAITHI LETTER AA — ktAA (U+11084)
KAITHI LETTER O — ktO (U+1108B)
KAITHI LETTER AU — ktAU (U+1108C)
Attempts were made to keep the existing design without including the cursive ball form, but the results looked too similar to the original design in small sizes. A cursive ductus has been used instead, containing a ball terminal/junction similar to /ktSU, /ktSa (U+110AE), and /ktSHa (U+110AC). The picture below shows the old design (on top row) with the new design (on bottom row) highlighted in green.
The following picture shows the new design balanced against other established characters featuring a similar 'ball like' transition terminal.
