To be considered for both Sans and Serif when redesigning the font.
@sridatta1 : could you provide me with the unicode values of the first line (or at least the unicode code point for the tofu below -- i assume it's the same for all)? I get
I'd like to make sure I have the right test case for it.
The character is U+0D01 and it is supported in Noto Serif Malayalam, not yet in Sans.

Testing on Windows 7 and chrome The first line renders properly, but in second line candrabindu should be positioned centrally ( in combination with right-positioning sign like VS AA, I,II and ya ottu/phala).
