how would this handle the bold characters in Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols?
I think ultra bold characters need to be created. I am not aware of a unicode font which does this, but the paid version of Math Time Pro 2 has them.

Yes, that would work. Btw, I found that Minion Math (paid) has bold and semi bold unicode math. If Noto Sans Bold Math is created, then it would be the first free unicode font to have a bold weight.

Fira Math has tons of weights, they're just very incomplete.
XITS Math has an incomplete bold weight as well.

Ah yes, forgot about them. I wonder if there are any plans to complete them and add them to the release. I just realised that Lato Math Bold has been released as well, with limited support.
XITS Math has an incomplete bold weight as well.
Btw, thank you for the work on XITS Math as well.
Are there any plans for a bold Noto Sans Math font, primarily for use in section and title headers?
