It's not clear to me why a separate UI version of Old Hungarian exists. UI fonts are deprecated, the notofonts/old-hungarian font fits within UI metrics anyway, and I'm not sure any device uses the Old Hungarian script for its user interface. If we don't actually need it I would prefer to transition to a single Old Hungarian font.
It would be a wrong decision remove it, I think. The published Noto Sans Old Hungarian font has centerline aligned small letters with capital letters. Bottomline align is req. The Noto Sans Old Hungarian font has only small ligatures. In the Noto Sans Old Hungarian font defined "ji" ligature as discrete ligature, too. The "ji" ligature is used for "y" letter, but not all "ji" lettercombination means "y". I don't remember which other ligatures have this mistake, but "ksz" ("ks" in English) ligature is not in the discrete ligatures, so that's ligature trully useful for "x" letter.
The main problem is that the small and capital letters are aligned to the centre line, not the bottom baseline. Only one publisher uses it this way, most do not. Unfortunately, the publisher who does the centreline claims to be the only expert, and has published in English. We are talking about PhD electrical engineer and architects without PhD. The Old Hungarian keyboard layouts in xkeyboard-config and keyman.com project have ZWJ key. This feature use only the publisher above (rovas.info) in their books, the other publishers don't. (for example : http://rovasbolt.superwebaruhaz.hu/)
The correct use of modern ligatures has not been solved, it is abandoned in the Noto Sans Old Hungarian font.
If the Noto Sans Old Hungarian font has issues, let's fix them. Let's not fork it and call it "UI" when it is not UI.
@simoncozens The development of the Noto Sans Old Hungarian is freezed. I'm not a font developer. If the freezed lock will be removed, I'll try to prepare it.
The development isn't frozen; some issue discussions were frozen because people could not come to an agreement and started being insulting to each other, but the font development can continue.

Thank you! I'll prepare.
@simoncozens In this case, you can delete it. Don't ask me to add accents to the basic Noto Sans Old Hungarian (not ui) font! On the one hand because 2-3 people used accents in a flawed alphabet in the 20th century ( not using historical signs), on the other hand it is not clear from the standard exactly which letters to put them over.
So I'm working on Noto Sans Old Hungarian font. Thank You! Regards
@simoncozens Where is the noto sans old hungarian font's repo?
Thank You!
