Which app are you using here? It works for me with harfbuzz (Firefox or Chrome).

This one: https://aksharamukha.appspot.com/converter . I had raised some issues earlier. They got rectified and the changes were reflected in this app. Found this one recently.

punchcutter commented 4 years ago

If you use Aksharamukha then it also depends on the browser. The new Edge browser on Windows 10 works. I'm not sure about the old one, but probably not.

nik9hil commented 4 years ago

If that's the case, then it might be because I am using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10.

It looks fine to me still, but @nizarsq If you are testing anything on a recent version of Chrome there is a high chance that tons of Noto scripts will be broken because of a major harfbuzz bug. https://github.com/harfbuzz/harfbuzz/issues/2516 This affected lots of things. This issue still looks fine to me as above, but it will appear broken in recent versions of Chrome. I just checked again on latest harfbuzz and it's still fine: takri

I also observed that on Windows 10, the conjunct with ha tends to float above in PDF file. Is the font ready for that? An example: image

punchcutter commented 3 years ago

@nik9hil It shouldn't do that so it seems like a problem with Windows rendering.

The original issue here appears to be fixed: image
