Can't select "Music location on device " #15

I have a Samsung Exhibit II 4G phone. I've installed the USB driver and Notpod. When I try to add a new device, per the help video, when I click on "Music location on device" and browse to Computer --> SGH-T679 --> Card --> Music, the "OK" button goes gray, and I can't select it. In fact, anywhere on the SGH-T679 (card or phone) the OK button is gray and can't be selected. Since I can't set the location, I can't sync. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have a screenshot I can provide, if you'd like...

Evidently NotPod doesn't work in media transfer mode. Not sure about your particular device, but maybe you can slide down the notification bar, select connectivity settings and change to mass storage mode which should fix your issue. I've got a Galaxy S3 which doesn't have mass storage mode so I can't sync for the moment either. Hopefully there will be MTP support in the future, though I'm unsure how easy that would be to implement.

Hi, as the previous post states, Notpod currently does not support MTP devices. We have something in the works regarding MTP, which hopefully will be available for testing within the next couple of months.

I had this same problem. This solution may work. Make sure your Samsung phone is NOT connected by USB cable to your computer. On your samsung phone (mine is SG2 so menu options may be slightly different for you), selet settings-wireless&network-other-USB utilities. Select ''connect storage to PC'' . Now, connect phone via USB cable to computer. Now click ''turn on USB storage''. Click o.k. You should now be able to select or create a music file under Notpod preferences. I was able to snyc the itunes music files but I can only play from my phone while it still connected to the computer. I haven't figured out yet how to play music directly from the music app on the phone. The music app (I've tried a couple) doesn't seem to recognise the files.

What folder on the phone are you syncing the music to? Make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in the same folder or any higher folder (that tells the music player to ignore anything in that folder) e.g. if you've got a .nomedia file in the folder sdcard/stuff and you're putting music in the folder sdcard/stuff/music then it will be ignored.

As for the original problem for the moment I'm using an alternative called 'Easy Phone Sync'. It has a few annoying aspects (needs app installed on phone for some reason, creates playlists of your library unnecessarily that you can't delete without having to recopy everything next sync) but until NotPod is updated it's all there is for some phones afaik.
