Support for Adafruit PITFT PLUS 3.5" (HX8357D)? #281

I'm using ARCH on a RPI2 and purchased an Adafruit PITFT PLUS 3.5" (with HX8357D controller). Adafruit has added support for this chip (which seems to be quite similar to ILI9341) in their fbtft fork about 3 month ago. Any idea when support for this device is going to go upstream?
