When a friend goes offline during a file transfer, the transfer box will become red for you, but you will still be able to see the "pause" and "cancel" options (although unusable). And only after you "double cancel" it, it goes to the desired state.

A related bug is that if I click the "X" on the broken file, it cancels all other files still in progress or not yet started after it.
