Progressive policy is policy which stems from the philosophy of progressivism in an effort to achieve social progress.

Goals of progressive policy

Broadly, progressive policy attempts to promote social civility.

• Protects and expands personal freedoms (civil liberties)
• Protects minority interests
• Promotes peace
