Probably best to prompt to refresh with a banner, rather than force refresh.
Could be implemented by writing some build ID into the output, and fetching it to check if it differs. Would need to be exempt from cache. Can be checked at the same times the feed is currently refreshed.
Similar to sites like ProtonMail.
