5 months ago Second this as an option to add. Plex lets you switch between the TMDB which has aired order and TVMB which has the DVD oirder for TV shows. Firefly and also recent seasons of Doctor who are shown out of order when using the TMDB.
As an aside, I've been using Plex and some 4k videos that don't play well in plex play great on Nova player. Not having the ability to change the episode ordering is the only problem i've come across so far in Nova.

[FEAT]: metadata setting to use a choice of date, DVD listing or Absolute similar to jellyfin , IMDb and TMDB often miss pilots from the shows listing or Foxtv like to broadcast episodes in the wrong order like "FireFly" this makes getting the data a night mare unless you can choose to use the different list options available
