[Bug]: Fix loading of non-utf-8 subtitles when using JUST PLAYER #1269

Problem description

Loading ANY subtitles that are not UTF-8 when using JUST PLAYER displays garbage.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Play any video with non-utf-8 subtitles.

For reference, I believe this issue has been already discussed partially here and there.
