Denied Symbol Appearing #2

Booting from clover the "Install MacOS" disk it appears a Denied Symbol in the middle of the loading process. The error found in the debug mode is: "Failed to find AppleHDA controller after 80 attempts, background process stopped".

I'm using a Latte Panda Alpha with a Samsung 970 NVME M.2 and the version 10.14.1 of your package.

EDIT: I managed to correctly land to Mac disk utility using the beta version 2.0 of the config files

@EverettDucklair I have the same issue. Which config files from version 2.0 did you use to get it working

giorgiobella commented 5 years ago

@Pukka922: the one that you can find here: https://github.com/novaspirit/macpanda/releases/tag/2.0b

LordCasio commented 5 years ago

@EverettDucklair did you use the "lattepandaclover1.1" or "lattepandaclover1.2" install with the updated "CLOVER2.0" files? Does it matter?

edit: 1.1 worked with the CLOVER2.0

nichtsooft commented 5 years ago

Hi there! I'm experiencing the same problems. I tried both the 1.1 and the 1.2 pack, extracted them and after copying all the files from the 2.0 package in the clover-folder replacing the existing files. Have you any other information for me? Which BIOS version are you on and did you do any special config to it?

regards

giorgiobella commented 5 years ago

@LordCasio: I used the 10.14.1 with the 2.0 beta Clover files @nichtsooft: try the 10.14.1; I just only did the changes to the bios as shown in the video

nichtsooft commented 5 years ago

@EverettDucklair I'm half way through the installation-process and everything seems to run as it should. Thank you very much.

In case anyone else stumbles across this thread in search of help, I’ll try and spell it out for the other dummies (like me...who need it in fine detail). (As of 11.11.18) You take Don’s 1.1 down load and download his 2.0 beta. In the video, when he replaces the “clover” files from the EFI disk image, you use the “clover 2.0 beta” files. There are other hiccups. I had to restart from windows to get to the bios or boot options (vs just whang’n on ESC or F7 from cold start up). While Mojave is loading, keep your hand close to F7. I had way more restarts than Don does in his video. Changing the boot priority in the bios is a way to get around this, but you have to switch from your USB key to the formatted M.2...and it all happens rather fast (at points). And don’t eject the USB key too soon...even after you have a successfull install, there is some terminal related house keeping.

i'm uploading a new clover file soon with my working version of config.plist, and testing the hdmi audio now and will up load soon.

Dude! You are the man! Hey, I foolishly bought the 7” lattepanda ISP monitor and the touch screen overlay....that totally don’t work on the Alpha. I’m not flush enough to support you on patreon, but will gladly donate the monitor kit, if you want it...just let me know. I’m upstate, you’re in LI? Keep up the good werk!
