IZ: Just talked toto Anu. She mentioned that the field of sedimentary structure is very complex and hardly possible to enter from publications unless one is a good specialist in sedimentology. One option would be to allow for synonims, e.g. overbank ~ floodplain. She also mentioned that sometimes one locality can be assigned multiple sedimentology values, e.g. from lithology, paleosols, sedimentology perspective. Also mentioned an example that mudstone can have different interpretation: claystones vs. organic content. Not sure if something in the NOW interface should be done about this, but one good idea Anu mentioned is to discuss with the Siwaliks people whether current NOW options for sedimentology are adequate, because Siwaliks data has one of the best records of sediments.
