[Win32] io-socket-ip test failure #20

Closed parmstro64 closed 9 years ago

parmstro64 commented 9 years ago

Not certain why I see this failure as I have IO::Socket::IP ->VERSION(0.20) && IO::Socket::IP ->VERSION != 0.30 installed in Perl Core.

IO::Socket::IP is installed in PERL and the version is 0.34 (> 0.20 and != 0.30) ? So

Output from test is: perl.exe "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-MTest::Harness" "-e" "undef *Test::Harness::Switches; test_harness(1, 'blib\lib', 'blib\arch')" t/io-socket-ip.t

[20:23:15] t/io-socket-ip.t .. 1..1 not ok # automatic use of IO::Socket::IP Failed 1/1 subtests [20:23:16]

Thanks for reporting the problem. Could you can please execute the test more verbose, i.e. perl -Mblib t/io-socket-ip.t ?

Issue closed because of missing feedback by the bug reporter.

Any out-of-the-box test still fails... Ie. using cpanm -v IO::Socket::SSL

But funny enough, this worked:

cpanm -v --look IO::Socket::SSL
perl Makefile.PL
make
# make test # This would FAIL
perl -Mblib t/io-socket-ip.t

with the output:

1..3
# IO::Socket::IP version=0.39
ok # [server] Server Initialization at ::1
# server at [::1]:32952
ok # [server] Server accepted
ok # [client] client connected

Then running:

# PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 "/usr/bin/perl.exe" "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-MTest::Harness" "-e" "undef *Test::Harness::Switches; test_harness(0, 'blib/lib', 'blib/arch')" t/*.t t/external/*.t
