I've been having tons of trouble with the plugin creating multiple drafts and duplicates of articles. I installed the plugin on a vanilla WP sandbox, and I have been having the same problem. I've tried changing the query, changing the post type and the cron interval and nothing fixes it.
For reference, I'm on WP Version 4.9.8, PHP 7.2 on a Pantheon Performance Small host and a Pantheon sandbox.
