To make this more expedient, I thought checking the EXIF of the asset would help distinguish photos from others, and while this information does exist during asset creation, it's stripped for Seamus publishing. Boo.
Ariel tells me there is Seamus metadata associated with the asset that contains the info stripped from the EXIF. So possibly worthwhile checking (I don't have access).
Another thing we could do just to make the qualitative review easier could be checking the assets with source "* for NPR" and review those first as most illustrations will be in this group, followed by "Stock".
