[ ] There is one section with the Ana episode that Ariel needs to finish thinking through. That section is noted in the web text.
[ ] Ariel needs to identify the background videos to use in the veriko section
We have two options for the intro video.
[x] The title card video of the kids walking through the door
If we use the door video, the intro text should get more at the home or personal element of the story.
[ ] The title card video of the apartment works better for a broader story of IDPs.
[ ] Ariel needs to retone the veriko portrait image in the intro.
[ ] For all background videos, use caption style instead of heading style
[ ] Ariel need to provide captions for all background videos
[x] Juan needs to apply the style change. Make sure all captions are left aligned with the edge of the photos. Also make sure that all captions are styled in gotham. Not planning to caption interview videos at this point.
[x] Ariel needs to get Juan a poster image for the door video in the intro that is from the first frame in the video
[x] Wes needs to look at margins between images and videos across all episodes.
[x] Wes will confirm with Stephanie that we don’t need all caps in the text for transition. We will use edge to edge photos for all transition points.
[x] Ariel may want to do a different cut of the dog background video in the Ana episode so it loops more seamlessly.
[x] Wes needs to recrop the square veriko image in the intro after Ariel retones it in its original aspect ratio.
[ ] Ariel will identify which images in the Veriko section should be edge-to-edge. Call Stephanie to discuss which sections should
[ ] We need to add Stephanie’s photo credit to the protest photos if we include them.
If they are there, we will separate them into different sections. We will argue for pulling the photos out completely since the current draft of text doesn’t speak to the images. Ariel should discuss with Hannah.
[ ] Ariel will re-crop the edge to edge background images to 16x9
[ ] Ariel- Look at the legibility of the subtitles- thinking a subtle gradient at the bottom of the video.
[ ] Ariel will export all videos and get to Juan for transcoding by Tuesday.
[ ] For mobile captions we will scale grids of three and stack grids of two.
For stacked grids make sure that image captions are written in a way that works well across all breakpoints. We can circle back on this after the final stacking/scaling approach is implemented.
Let's try to get all this done by Tuesday, 5/23
