Ticking Sound Request

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Check to have Sound enabled in preferences and the Volume set to maximum. 
2. Click the Start Timer button.
3. There is no ticking sound.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A ticking sound would be good to have.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5

We used to have a ticking sound... but it drove me nuts so we removed it =)
I'll let Viktor decide this one. But if it's added then it should be disabled 
by 
default!

There is one reason to have the ticking sound.

If you have read Staffan's book, he talks about "conditioned reflexes". When 
you hear
the ticking sound, you know that you are supposed to start focusing, and keep
focusing for 25 minutes..

We might want to find a better sample or play it with lower volume or something 
to
not make Fredrik go (even more) nuts. Or maybe just an on/off setting... :)

I second the vote for ticking, please!  As a stop gap, I'm using another 
Pomodoro
utility which does tick, but I don't like it as much as your in other ways, 
so...   :)

That sounds pretty much like the one I had before, but it fade's out a bit.

Committed a fix, made the sound fade out after 3 secs. 

Have not added the config for turning ticking off yet.

Fred, please try it out first, it shouldn't drive you nuts now. Maybe it's 
enough with the 
global sound on off feature?

Hi I really like the ticking sound I mean I've already spent the first five 
minutes
of my first pomodoro looking for how to keep it always on.

May there's an older version that I can download which hsa the ticks always?

Another way of doing ticking, that I found was very good on a Pomodoro app for 
the
Windows Mobile, is to have one (!) tick every minute. Not disturbing, and has 
kept me
focused.

I'd also love to have teh ticking sound. Do you guys plan on adding it back in? 
Why not make it an option so that people who like it can turn it on?

I agree, please make the ticking sound optional so the people with conditioned 
reflexes (myself included), can get that extra boost of concentration.
