LBT DDT (INAF) Observations with MODS1.
- KIDS1406, KiDS1409 FULLY OBSERVED. A.Gargiulo is reducing the data right now. In a few days Chiara will get the spectra
- KIDS1421, KIDS1453 PARTIALLY OBSERVED. Chiara Asked if the data reduction can be made anyway.
A.Agnello has a run with T.Anguita on 15th July at NTT. We need to prepare finding charts for systems we want to give to Timo by June 30th! WHICH SYSTEMS TO SELECT??? A.I. Chiara: check avability at night for KiDS and KABS best candidates. Make a list. A.I. @nrnapolita asks Adriano if he needs mags for June 30th
SALT Proposal Together with Lucia Marchetti, we can submit a proposal to SALT. For "political reasons" Lucia will lead the proposal. A companion proposal on UCMGs will be lead by Crescenzo. @ctortora please make clear with Lucia that however she will be PI

GM 09/07 Crescenzo will wrk on the SALT proposal that Lucia will lead (we need to have people in South Africa).

GM 18/07

SALT proposal is almost ready to be circulated to the rest of the collaborators. The idea is to observe ~30 QSOs and ~20 arcs, over the whole semester. AI Chiara/Crescenzo : circulate the proposal
NTT (July) run: we were very unlucky with weather. Nevertheless some KABS and KIDS candidates have been observed. However, only one is definitively confirmed (z~2.6 QSOs). Two "unluckily", three"stars". The KABS QUAD candidate will be re-observe tonight with longer integration time. AI Chiara: Have a look at the data of the "unclear" systems.
LBT: KIDS1409 is NOT a lens. AI Nicola: work on the other two systems

GM 15/10 Crescenzo and Chiara are working on PHASE 2 for SALT. We got half of the time we requested. Now we are preparing the list of targets, with PA and slit, exposure time, finding charts, etc. If you want to have a look it is HERE Deadline 19/10

GM 22/10 SALT PHASE2 is submitted. Observations will hopefully start on November 1st.

UPDATE 02/12 The first 5 systems were observed at SALT. We are happy to report that we confirmed a quad:

with source at z~3.2

and deflector at z~0.38

but unhappy to communicate that what we thought could have been the first ultra-compact massive lens is a weird object that has absorption lines at z=0 (star or moon?) and emission lines at z~0.059.
