The area and volume measurements are of paramount importance for a program like weasis

Weasis contains tools to measure areas spatially or statistically based on pixel values. Volumetric measurement tools do not exist because Weasis does not do true 3D.

Create and area with a polyline can be difficult in some circumstances, the ability to create an area with a "follow" of the mouse pointer is very useful, like in a echocardiograph.

Volume is commonly measured with the method of disc and the area length methods. The others are not common

If weasis can use these methods it would be of great value for sonographers, without these it lacks too important features

For ultrasound imaging, Weasis actually lacks some functionalities.

There's someone who is supposed to make some changes regarding Ultrasound measurement, but they haven't been delivered yet.

Major substantive changes to the technologies and frameworks need to be made on Weasis. As a consequence, I can't support new features. For this, we need contributions.
