tried to fix #12 + checking if path is file or dir

i'm not quite sure what i'm doing, just that it works for me The problem seems to be that @executablePath is undefined why its working if i use the local variable executablePath and why the global @executablePath seems to be undefined i don't know. Please check if the changes work on other platforms than macos
