Get notifications without cloning? (and of just certain branches?) #12

I would like to request a feature that allows me to get updates from a repo (even a specific branch) without actually cloning the whole thing locally. I currently can do this fine with the rss feature of most git hosting sites, but gitifier seems cooler because it uses growl.

I think that would be too service-specific, as each service handles this differently, if at all - of course, I could implement support for GitHub, which would probably cover most cases, but then it wouldn't be a Gitifier, but rather Githubifier (and there actually is something like that, see http://thechangelog.com/post/1170147881/github-notifier-growl-notifications-for-github). And it's not like cloning one repo into cache is a huge problem for most people...

As for selecting only specific branches, I might add that in the future.

Perhaps you can implement that feature a litte bit more flexible, such as parsing new RSS items via a regex?

Honestly, I'm not planning to add any RSS support at this point, maybe sometime in the future...
