Right. It seems like the datetime is the only real identifier here, and I could imagine that could conflict.
Given this issue, and other issues around dealing with associated data (e.g., the need to read 'nordic formatted' data with software like SEISAN, we should decline this PR and close the associated issue.
Do you think we'll come back to it? Or should we get rid of the branch?
