Since tapping near the edge of the screen registers as tapping on the very edge of the screen on an iPhone, the buttons nearest to the edges are very hard to press. Creating some additional extremely narrow buttons on both sides of the keypad or extending the hit-boxes for buttons near the edges for iOS devices should do the trick.
