Nice tips for using iTerm. I wonder why you don't use oh-my-zsh which comes with a ton of features.

I did a 2-week trial run of oh-my-zsh many years ago. While it had a ton of out of the box features, there were a few that I didn't like and the globbing feature conflicted with rake. I was able to get around this with configuration eventually, but it left me just wondering if I could take the good parts and just use plain bash.

I think I just don't like taking on a ton of configuration that I don't understand all at once. (I had similar experiences trying Janus for vim a while back. That was a huge pile of fail for me, and I had better success just incrementally building out my own vimrc)
