OS updates stomp on additions to /etc/auto_master, which disables the auto-mounted shares. Currently this is fixed using the binfiles/fix-automount, but that should really be rolled into the flake as an activation script that appends the corresponding line to /etc/auto_master when it’s missing.
I’ve seen an example of something similar to this, but can’t quite remember where.
