Example doesn’t build if you don’t use make #27

This is because the example doesn’t have a \documentclass line, being normally called from a separate “driver” file. Investigate ways to make this work better for those who don’t use make.

Actually, the examples build just fine if you use the correct source files example1.tex. and example2.tex. Trying to build example.tex will fail miserably, as documented in the file itself. Since this appears to be a case of user error, the best solution is probably to rename example.tex and update the documentation to emphasise which files should be built.
