The APIs used here are optimal for playing audio files. If you're trying to play a short sound (short duration audio file) it will also work. However, this plugin nativescript-sound works well for playing small audio clips.
Hi bramartin. What I need is a synthesizer for nativescript. Something I can give it a chord or note and it will play.
I have been searching for this for quite a while and so far I got nothing even similar. I'd be happy to build this synthesizer myself if I had the skills.
Thank you very much anyways.
Hi @rickdps we integrated with AudioKit in our book, it’s an incredibly versatile framework for handling all things audio on iOS at least (especially if you’re thinking about a synthesizer): https://audiokit.io/

Thanks Nathan. I'll be taking a look at it for sure. How about Android? Is there something similar for it?

Ok, first of all, thanks to everybody involved in this plugin. It is clear that it can play mp3 files but I'm wondering if it can generate sounds like for example the Web Audio API.
If so, how do we do that?
