spam bots might register users (and after email roundtrip) add hosts/domains.

different solutions to avoid that come to mind:

• use recaptcha (owned by google) - privacy / UX / accessibility?
• use akismet?
• use honeypot?

If its an Option, that could be something like CoinHive. With the Captcha Option one could do

• Spam Bots have maybe no JavaScript enabled -> no access
• They could not register many URL's because of the Load the received
• Some of them even refuses to spam then (too much load)
• you could generate some cryptocoins in the process so the financial part ( #294 ) get some benefits to that
