On startup, doit request a startup script by contacting parent, and then waits until the next instance of parent reports status. In certain cases, specifically if the requested script is not located, the reported status should indicate a status of not ready. In that case, doit should exit without starting up any GSE programs. Currently, the second status is reported, but not acted upon.
