Getting complaints about VERSION statements in Monarch:
Compatibility with CMake < 2.8.12 will be removed from a future version of
CMake.
Update the VERSION argument <min> value or use a ...<max> suffix to tell
CMake that the project does not need compatibility with older versions.
I am currently using: cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8.8)
Cygwin cmake is currently at 3.20.0
Raspbian cmake is currently at 3.16.3
Changing this setting can change cmake's behavior, since it affects specific policies that are enabled
The change therefore requires testing on all platforms
It isn't clear to me whether listing a maximum version will prevent operation when a newer version comes out or just invoke a compatibility mode.
