GM9 Untrimmed Dump: cannot dump card with gm9 ( freez)
kitlith commented 6 years ago

Hm. I've been told that it is basicly a perfect copy of the r4i gold 3ds (starter) as well, and thus supported by the R4i Gold 3DS option as well...

Is it just me, or are you not using the latest version? Could you try using the latest version?

dave22z commented 6 years ago

hello yes i have try with the latest ntrboot_flasher.firm with a hacked 3ds "luma 8.1.1" but result to a "Flashcard setup failed" and for information this card is for .3ds rom and cannot run the .ds rom to try "ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher" or i m wrong ? its possible to upgrade it with jtag fpga directly ? or need to be in version 4.5 to do upgrade with Launch.dat v4.0b2 and thank you for help

pixel-stuck commented 6 years ago

likely, the problem is the HW rev detection. ntrboot_flasher.zip try this.

dave22z commented 6 years ago

@dave22z I'm sure we could work something out by writing directly to the SPI flash. Can probably grab a backup from a r4i gold 3ds and restore directly to the spi flash, though I'd reccommend you take a backup of whatever is already on it, just in case.

Wack0 commented 6 years ago

I just want to make sure:

@dave22z you are flashing to the blue cart, right?

dave22z commented 6 years ago

@Wack0 yes the blue one shown in the picture @kitling where i can found a backup.bin from a r4i 3ds starter to try to restore it with him

kitlith commented 6 years ago

It's a r4i gold 3ds. Any backup of a r4i gold 3ds should work with it so far as I know.

kitlith commented 6 years ago

3ds.guide has a section with backups for various carts.

Tcm0 commented 6 years ago

He's using the "3DS Card" for 3DS games. They are not supported as far as I know.

jason0597 commented 6 years ago

you can differentiate the blue card vs the red card in GW with the little notch that 3DS cartridges have

how do you differentiate this though?

Tcm0 commented 6 years ago

@jason0597 Maybe color of the shell or the "3DS Card" printed on the PCB above the contacts. Back then r4ids.cn DS cards had a different PCB (revision "C").
