There is some information in http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ddclient and http://www.ubuntu-es.org/node/3545

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DynamicDNS#ddclient have information about several services. The most actualized list of supported services for ddclient is calling ddclient --help I think the bes should be to support FreeDNS and use it in the tests. We should try to deal with other services (https://web.easydns.com/, http://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/ also in the future). I can assign the bug to me. If it feels that is taking to long to solve say that to me and I send you all the info.

Great! If you can do it, it would be the best option. I'm a bit lost, because it seems that some scripts only look at your LAN IP, not your public one, and I wouldn't know which to choose before some time of studying.

A new package is pushed. It has configuration templates for DynDNS, FreeDNS y No-Ip. I cannot try them behind the firewall.

They also need the user and password to work. I don't close the issue because we need to create the pages and scripts to reserve a nublic name.

A new package is out now. It is working fine! (It keeps chopera.nublic.me running now)
