Capturing the current state is great, but it would of course be useful to have a more dynamic resource that can be updated by many.

Alternatives/Ideas:

just update the paper draft and let Travis build and publish a PDF (and/or an HTML)
- could have the advantage to continue to "snapshot" the current state and update the preprint every year
a website under the umbrella of the Rocker Org?
a CRAN Task View, maybe connecting with https://o2r.info/ctv-computational-environments/

There is a lot of overlap with the WebTechnologies task view, especially when you get to deployment. That task view is probably overfull right now, though.
