Suggestion - Minimize to tray #932

Unless i didn't see the option, it would be a great addition to be able to minimize to tray the app, I actually do this with RBTray but it can be better if we can minimize to tray with the close button and have basic operations on the tray icon.

Actually I have this on my tray, but there isn't any icon image

Also this is related to #542 and #757

I have the same issue of the tray-icon being invisible... (I've ignored it so far since it's not a functionality problem, but probably good to fix)

nukeop commented 3 years ago

I also noticed that the tray icon is gone, this is probably caused by Electron update.

Looks like a deeper issue: https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/14941

Problems lie in the interaction between Electron and libappindicator. I took a look at Nuclear's initialization of tray menu and it looks ok.

The tray icon works for me but if i close the app, it closes, so the best way to proceed is to put nuclear in another workspace

Hello! Would love to work on this. Is someone else working on this?

nukeop commented 1 year ago

I don't think so, I'll assign you.
