Keeping original R***** rom names to make it easier to dick around with multiple firmware versions.

A good solution would be to expect ROM files with specific known hashes - that way, you can use whatever names. Munt does this for its ROM management.

That's even better, don't have to dilly dally with filenames. Point app at rom folder(else sane default), control ROM loading with machine type switch.

[zaphod77] i'm definitely interested in a modified mkII rom that treats gm as gs reset and has capital tone fallback. i'd be even more interested in it if i actually had hardware.

And maybe a switch to instead specify custom ROMs by pointing app at a text file telling emulator what machine behaviour to have and the roms to load.

Come to think of it, defaults too could be reduced to folder of rom files and instructional text files.
