The older Versions had the ability to download media. I personally use this to archive chats before i use Undiscord To wipe my chat and personally what i delete will not be saved on discord Hints why I was to restore this feature when im exporting my chats

the option you're looking for is labeled "Download assets" in the GUI. you can enable it prior to exporting, and DCE will download all the media it finds into a folder.

Ignore me i see it now seems to been moved from the older versions used to be in options
