While the administration of the game is handled by moderators the management of the game is handled by GM's, short for Game Masters. These select people will be equipped with the tools needed to manipulate the game itself.
Their powers should include:
A map editor to manipulate the entire map with. I'm not planning to use Dream Maker's built-in map editor, so something will have to be constructed in-game. Ideally this is a separate window with the map elements rendered on top, so that the map can be edited while the main game is being played. This will also allow GM's to create concept versions of a section which may be saved (but not applied to the "live" map).
The ability to possess any object in the game as if it were a living thing. A new mob type will have to be created to accommodate this behavior. It should be possible to speak through these objects and there should be an administrator-type inventory system consisting of various blank slots to throw items into (these are invisible to the player and not drawn on the icons).
The ability to observe the game from the perspective of another player. This should include chat history and pretty much exactly what the other player sees. Switching back and forth will likely occur, so a chat history must be kept so the player's current "screen" can be rendered to a GM.
