Synchronizing zoom-steps for two bands #322

I would like to synchronize two of my bands by zoom-steps (so, when I zoom 
into band[0] band[1] shall get to the same zoom-step!). I'm actually 
trying to get through the API to find the needed functions, 'cause I first 
tried to do it myself.
Does anyone know, how I will reach my target?
