Exhibit, Germal Locale, Special Character are not entered as HTML entities #334

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use a Browser in German language (i used Safari)
2. You will see the German "Umlaute" (üöä) are not rendered correctly.

What version of the product are you using? On what browser and what
operating system?

Windows XP, Safari 4.0.4, Exhibit 2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I built a patch against http://simile-widgets.googlecode.com/svn/exhibit/trunk

updated the patch, as sometimes using the html entities does not work, then you 
need
to encode the chars and use unescape function. 

i could not test all strings, as i do not know exactly when they appear. so this
patch should be tested a bit. should not take more then 10 minutes, though..
