IE not showing maths rendering against input box #277

See for example https://numbas.mathcentre.ac.uk/question/1135/7-ee-a-miles-to-kilometers/ Run this in IE and there is no rendering beside the input box on inputting 8x/5 in the boxes.

Can't reproduce this, even in IE8. If you can't get it to happen again, I'll close this.

OK in IE10 but not in IE9 it appears

Updated to IE10 and works. However there does seem to have been a problem with my IE9 implementation.
