10 years ago You wrote \\lambda, because that's the way i-assess did it. I removed that syntax because it makes other things awkward. You can just write lambda.

the advice has the line 'Hence the characteristic polynomial $p(\lambda)$ is' and then there is a maths processing reported. If you use shift-enter to create a new line at an appropriate point in the eqnarray then momentarily you see the correct review, but clicking again in the code reverts to Math processing error (and on running).
