Bulk question copy feature (request) #728

It would be very helpful if there was a feature where a selected group of questions could be bulk-copied to a new folder, rather than one by one. Likewise, the ability to copy a folder and its contents would be much appreciated. I need to copy 65 questions into a new folder and it is slow going.

I could implement this, but why do you need to copy so many questions?

Hi, Christian,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

In this instance, I have a 65 question test which was recently piloted with 3 Australian universities (Pilot v1.0). We’re improving it, and Pilot v2.0 will be released in January to many more Australian universities. I want to keep a copy of each version in its entirety as we’ll be doing research, and may want to look back at the exact questions from a particular version.

Another example: I regularly write 10-question quizzes to help Education students prepare for the national numeracy test, then once I have sufficient questions I compile all of the quiz questions into a bigger test, modifying some questions in the process, but I still want to retain the original questions/quizzes. So I will copy 4 or 5 lots of 10 questions into a different folder, and work on them in it.

Perhaps there is a more efficient way to do this. If so, I’m all ears!

Regards, Adelle.
