Perhaps with a possibility for comments, up/down-votes, etc. This additional informal option is important for wanted numbers that do not (yet) satisfy the quality demands on new tables.

Have a page of 'wanted' numbers, that is, numbers for which at least one researcher wants to find a simple or significant expression.
A simple way would be to make a tag called "wanted", and require every wanted number to have its own table. E.g. https://www.numberdb.org/Fine-structure_constant#alpha-inv fits into this scheme.
