Your fix is merged in commit ab586be.
For your second commit e5468bd, I left only part 5e58f97, because in many cases it will not work, because it assumes that there is $TMP variable declared, there is vlc installed and MBROLA-voices are sibling project of MBROLA project (and no need to mention mintty, as it is just one of many terminals).
